Let´s look at the future together

"The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do."

Sahaga as is a Norwegian company based in Fredrikstad, a little more than one hour train ride outside Oslo.

The company is privately owned and registered with the Norwegian Business Registry, #no999565719mva. The owner of Sahaga as is HCAG Holding AS.

The CEO of Sahaga as is Hans Christian Andersen, born 1971. He is an experienced radio-guy, with decades behind the microphone. His first digital radio company was founded in Oslo back in 2004. Since then he and his team has built the company and the company´s own brand - POP - to become an important player in the Norwegian consumer electronics industry, with a sincere focus on radio.

POP was on the top 10 market share list for radio in Norway in 2017. Out of competition reasons we keep the exact market share a secret. Numbers from 2018 show that POP stays POPular in Norway. Next country for POP is Switzerland (look below). Also Germany, Holland, Denmark and France has POP by Sahaga. Through the network of EET Europarts, POP by Sahaga is available in 25 countries worldwide.

Experian recently published their analysis for the economic year of 2017 and Sahaga as rates at 813 out of 1000 possible points (81,3% of top score). The average in Norway is 635. On Experian´s list of Norwegian companies return on assets, Sahaga as rates as a "Silver Company" with a good 16,2% result.

The future´s so bright, I gotta wear shades (Timbuk 3, 1986)

With this heading Sahaga risks to stand out as a company without limits - which we are. Still, we know that no tree grows into heaven. Not without hard work, at least. We also know that Timbuk 3 did not write a graduation party song. No, they wrote a song about a young nuclear scientist and his bright future. The hight of the cold war was the frame around the band´s consern for the future.

Sahaga´s future lies in both Norway and the rest of Europe. Norways national broadcasters stopped broadcasting on FM in 2017. The need for digital radios in the kingdom peaked. Now we´re back to normal with sales to meet the people´s needs ahead.

Our three main categories are:

  1. Traditional radios for use at home, when on holiday, in second homes or in the office. The category includes internetradios, bluetooth technology, pocket sized radios, alarm clock radios, shower/waterproof radios as well as traditional kitchen- and table top radios.
  2. Adapters for upgrading your car to digital radio. Our main focus is traffic safety and radio signal reception.
  3. Hearing protections and worksite radios (in the POP@work-series). PPE-certified equipment for professional and private use.

POP has the widest range of digital radios in Norway.

Europe lies ahead of us. Sahaga as grew from being a 1 million kroner company in 2013 to becoming a 85 million kroner company in Norway in 2017. The turnover comes from sales in Norway alone. With Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, UK, Denmark and even Thailand, Australia and many other countries now preparing for the same digitisation of radio, the potential for POP sales is great.

Let´s look at the future together

Sahaga as want to share the future with anyone who sees the need for a good supplier of quality digital radios, with a good design, a catchy brand name and a solid experienced platform, as well as investors/corporate partners who share our view on the business potential in Europe.
With a 5 million people market (Norway) on the "been there"-list, an astonishing 86 million people market (Germany) excites us very much.

We also knew it would happen before 2024. On August 29th, during the radiodays in Switzerland, the authorities will officially inform exactly when FM is shut off in Switzerland. Sahaga as is proud to be represented in Swiss already, and we look forward to very exciting years to come there. Please get in touch if you want to sell POP by Sahaga.
